According to their biological clock people can be classified as being:

1. Morning or daytime

Morning people are individuals who prefer to wake up early and who perform well in activities that start in the morning, and generally have difficulty staying awake until late. These people feel sleepy earlier and find it difficult to stay focused at night. For these people, working shifts can be a nightmare because they are very stimulated by the light of day.

These people represent about 10% of the world's population.

2. Evening or evening

Evening people are those people who are more productive at night or at dawn and who prefer to stay up later, and always go to sleep at dawn, performing better in their activities at that time.

Their sleep/wake cycle is more irregular and they have more difficulty concentrating in the morning, and they have greater attention problems and suffer more from emotional problems, needing to consume more caffeine throughout the day, to keep awake.

Evening people represent about 10% of the world's population.

3. Intermediate

Intermediate or indifferent individuals are those who adapt to schedules more easily compared to mornings and afternoons, with no preference for a specific time to study or work.

Most of the population is intermediate, which means that most people can adjust to the schedules imposed by society, more easily than afternoon and morning.

How the biological clock works

The biological clock is maintained by the person's own rhythm and by the imposition of society, with hours to work from 8 am to 6 pm, for example, and to sleep from 11 pm onwards.
