Grape juice to lower cholesterol is a great home remedy because grapes contain a substance called resveratrol, which helps reduce bad cholesterol and is a potent antioxidant.

Resveratrol is also found in red wine and so it can also be a good option to contribute to the control of blood cholesterol, being advised to drink a maximum of 1 glass of red wine a day. However, these natural strategies do not exclude the need to adapt your diet, exercise and take the cholesterol-lowering medication recommended by the cardiologist.

1. Simple Grape Juice

  • 1 kg of grape;
  • 1 liter of water;
  • Sugar to taste.

Place the grapes in a pan, add a cup of water and boil for approximately 15 minutes. Strain the resulting juice and hit the blender along with the ice water and sugar to taste. Preferably, you should replace the sugar with Stevia, which is a natural sweetener, more suitable for people with diabetes, for example.

2. Red fruit juice

  • Half a lemon;
  • 250 g seedless pink grapes;
  • 200 g of berries;
  • 1 teaspoon flaxseed oil;
  • 125 mL of water.

Beat the juice extracted from the fruits in the centrifuge with the remaining ingredients and the water.

One should drink one of the grape juices daily, while fasting, to lower cholesterol levels. Another option is to buy a bottle of grape juice concentrate, which can be found in some supermarkets or speci alty stores, and dilute a small amount of water and drink it daily. In this case, you should look for whole grape juices, which are organic, because they have fewer additives.
