But, in addition to drinking this tea, it is advisable to avoid stimulating foods that are difficult to digest, giving preference to bitter ones, warm water, fruits and vegetables. It is very important not to consume any type of alcoholic beverage until the liver is fully recovered, as the most common causes of liver problems are the consumption of excessive alcoholic beverages and very fatty foods.
1. Boldo tea
Boldo is an excellent home remedy to treat fatty liver or swollen liver, as it has properties that improve the secretion of bile, which is produced by the liver, relieving symptoms such as nausea, pain and abdominal discomfort.
- 2 boldo leaves;
- 1 glass of water;
Place the ingredients in a pan and boil for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat, let it cool, strain and drink it, without sweetening, 3 to 4 times a day. For a greater concentration of therapeutic properties, it is recommended to drink the tea right after its preparation.
Depending on the symptoms of liver problems, it is recommended to follow this home treatment for 2 days. But, if the symptoms persist or worsen, the ideal is to go to the hospital quickly, because it can be something more serious.
2. Jurubeba infusion
Jurubeba infusion is an excellent home remedy for liver problems, because it is a medicinal plant that has diuretic and digestive properties, helping to treat liver diseases.
- 30 g of jurubeba leaves and fruits;
- 1 liter of water.
Place the jurubeba leaves and fruits in a liter of boiling water and let it cool for 10 minutes. Strain and drink 3 cups a day. This infusion should not be taken by pregnant women.

3. Infusion with artichoke
Artichoke is a great medicinal plant that has depurative and anti-toxic properties, being a great home remedy option for treating liver-related diseases.
- 1 liter of water;
- 1 teaspoon (5 to 6g) of dried artichoke leaves.
In a pot or kettle, boil the water and then turn off the heat. Add the artichoke leaves and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain the tea and drink up to 3 cups a day before meals.
